- Carlo Acutis In the Footsteps of Francis and Clare of Assisi
Description:
CARLO ACUTIS (London, May 3, 1991 - Monza, October 12, 2006) was recognized for his holiness in record time. The decree on his heroic virtues was issued on July 1, 2018, and he was beatified on October 10, 2020.
So, who is Carlo? He was a boy of our time—full of life and diverse interests, passionate about technology, with a heart devoted to God and a deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist. While living in Milan, he frequently stayed in Assisi with his family, deepening his spiritual journey in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare.
Though these three figures were distinct and lived in different times, they are connected by a common thread, which this book explores. Carlo is buried in the Sanctuary of the Spoliation, a place where the young Saint Francis renounced all his possessions, embracing a life of poverty to follow Jesus and live according to the Gospel. Carlo’s story serves as a source of inspiration for everyone, especially for young people.
